Culture eats strategy for breakfast

Did you know?

The famous Austrian consultant Peter Drucker said that “culture eats strategy for breakfast”. He wasn’t suggesting strategy isn’t important, but that the backbone of any business is culture. One of the best investments a business can make, is adopting a healthy work culture. Many businesses focus on having an organizationally smart (IQ) culture, but are they organizationally healthy (EQ)? Culture eats strategy for breakfast any day of the week.

Organizational health is good for your people, and your bottom line. According to a study from Mckinsey, 80% of participating companies who took concrete action towards health saw increased gains, with up to 18% higher returns over 18 months. This is why organizational health trumps everything else in business.

Organizational health will surpass all other disciplines in business as the greatest opportunity for improvement and competitive advantage.
